As the designer of a music periodical for many years, Wim Meter (1947) circulated widely in the music branch. He photographed many pop stars at that time. Towards the end of the 1970's, he set up an advertising studio, and subsequently designed record sleeves for almost every record company. He designed many book covers too and also logos for television programmes. About 10 years ago, Wim Meter began to collect novelty radios (those that do not look like radios). He started on a modes scale at first. Then his urge to collect broadened to include crystal radios, money banks and music boxes. Together with numerous small diversions, the main theme that binds this collection is 'music, radio and TV'. Beautiful to look at and full of usefull information. It is Wim Meter's enthusiasm for this unique collection that has brought this book into being. It is a 'must' for every collector.
